College Scholars Program

Eligible participants can earn scholarships to in-state public higher education institutions including two-year and four-year colleges.  Scholarships may be applied only to tuition, books, and fees in high-impact career fields in healthcare, public safety, and public service. Students who are actively engaged in any DCLI program will qualify to submit a scholarship application.

DCLI College scholars strengthen their path to success through workshops focused on personal development and goal setting. College Scholars are required to attend an annual workshop and have one-on-one meetings with DCLI each semester they are enrolled in college.  College scholars are required to complete and submit evidence of completion of FAFSA and apply for scholarships at their respective colleges and universities.

DCLI is focused on the goal of debt-free degrees for students.  The College Scholars Program not only removes financial barriers but also prepares students to thrive in their careers, manage their futures wisely, and lead with purpose in their communities.

To qualify for the program, students must remain actively engaged with the Institute and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA at the end of each semester. Applications are being accepted now for the Spring 2026 semester.
